Computer Classes

Philadelphia FIGHT offers computer classes and workshops through its Critical Path program. The classes and workshops are great for beginners and those who with some computer knowledge who want to advance their skills. They are free and open to all.

Get One-on-One Help

The AIDS Library offers one-on-one computer assistance for anyone, whether they are enrolled in computer classes or not. Anyone in our computer lab can get personal help creating documents, finding information, using email, applying for jobs online, and more.

In addition, the AIDS Library has the Mavis Beacon typing program, which can be used in the Library computer lab.

  • Mousercise! – Great simple website for beginner mouse practice.
  • Sense-Lang.org – A 15-lesson typing program and some typing games.
  • Powertyping – Test how many words-per-minute you can type, and practice typing for speed and accuracy.
  • BBC Webwise – Tutorials on using the web, using email, avoiding computer viruses, and more.
  • InternetTutorials.com – For people already familiar with the basics of the web.
